Itinerary

Your Rajasthan tour package begins with your arrival in Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan and one of India's most celebrated heritage destinations. Depending on your arrival schedule, your driver or tour representative will meet you at Jaipur International Airport or Jaipur Railway Station and assist you with the transfer to your hotel.

Jaipur is popularly known as the Pink City because of the distinctive pink-coloured architecture of its historic centre. Once you have checked into your hotel and had some time to freshen up, the remainder of the day can be kept relaxed so that you can settle into the city without rushing between attractions.

In the evening, begin your introduction to Jaipur with a visit to the iconic Hawa Mahal, one of Rajasthan's most recognisable architectural landmarks. The five-storey façade, decorated with numerous jharokhas, was designed to allow royal women to observe activity in the streets while remaining screened from public view. Rajasthan Tourism identifies Hawa Mahal as one of Jaipur's defining attractions. Rajasthan Tourism

After Hawa Mahal, continue towards the colourful markets of the old city. Johari Bazaar is associated with jewellery and traditional crafts, while Bapu Bazaar is known for textiles, handicrafts, traditional clothing, souvenirs and local shopping. You can spend the evening browsing the shops, enjoying local snacks or simply taking in the atmosphere of the old city.

If your arrival is late, the evening sightseeing can be adjusted according to your flight or train timings.

Approximate local travel: 10–20 km depending on hotel and arrival point

Approximate driving time: 30 minutes–1.5 hours, depending on traffic and arrival location

Overnight: Jaipur

After breakfast, set out for a full day of Jaipur sightseeing covering some of the city's most important historical monuments.

Begin with Amber Fort (Amer Fort), located approximately 11 km from central Jaipur. Built on a hill overlooking the surrounding landscape, the fort combines Rajput and Mughal architectural influences and contains courtyards, palaces, gardens and the famous Sheesh Mahal. Rajasthan Tourism and Incredible India both place Amber Fort among Jaipur's principal heritage attractions. Rajasthan Tourism+1

Depending on availability and your preference, the ascent can be experienced by vehicle/jeep or through permitted visitor options. Any elephant-related activity should be treated as optional and subject to current local regulations, availability and animal-welfare requirements.

After exploring Amber Fort, continue towards the historic centre of Jaipur. A short stop at Jal Mahal can be included for photographs from the roadside viewpoint before continuing towards the walled city.

Next, visit City Palace Jaipur, a sprawling royal complex containing courtyards, gateways, museums and architectural elements that combine Rajput and Mughal traditions. The complex continues to be associated with Jaipur's former royal family, with public museum areas displaying royal clothing, manuscripts, weapons and other historical objects. Rajasthan Tourism

Continue to Jantar Mantar, the historic astronomical observatory built under Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. Its monumental astronomical instruments demonstrate the scientific knowledge and architectural ingenuity of the period. Jantar Mantar is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Rajasthan Tourism

Depending on your pace, you can finish the afternoon with additional shopping, a café visit or leisure time at the hotel.

Approximate Jaipur sightseeing distance: 30–45 km

Approximate driving time: 2–3 hours excluding sightseeing and traffic

Overnight: Jaipur

Distance: Approximately 160–180 km
Travel Time: Approximately 3–4 hours by road
Overnight Stay: Ranthambore

After breakfast at your hotel in Jaipur, check out and begin your journey towards Ranthambore, one of Rajasthan's most celebrated wildlife destinations. The drive takes approximately 3–4 hours, taking you away from Jaipur's bustling streets and towards the forested landscapes surrounding Ranthambore National Park.

On arrival, check in to your wildlife resort and enjoy some time to relax after the journey. Surrounded by natural landscapes, the resort provides an ideal setting to slow down and prepare for the exciting safari experience planned for the following morning.

The remainder of the day is intentionally kept free. You can enjoy the resort's facilities, relax by the pool, take a nature-inspired walk around the property or simply unwind in the peaceful surroundings.

If you are travelling with children, this relaxed afternoon is also a good opportunity to prepare for the early-morning safari.

Enjoy dinner at the resort and get an early night's rest, as the next morning begins with an exciting wildlife adventure.

Overnight stay in Ranthambore.

Safari: Early morning
Overnight Stay: Ranthambore

Wake up early in the morning and get ready for one of the highlights of your Rajasthan holiday — a wildlife safari in Ranthambore National Park.

Board your safari vehicle, either a Jeep or Canter, depending on your booking and availability, and enter the national park with an experienced naturalist or guide.

Ranthambore is renowned for its population of Royal Bengal Tigers, but the park's wildlife experience extends far beyond tigers. As you travel through the forest, keep an eye out for spotted deer, sambar, wild boar, crocodiles, langurs, peacocks and a wide variety of bird species.

The early morning is particularly atmospheric, with soft sunlight filtering through the forest and wildlife becoming active around water bodies and open clearings. Although tiger sightings can never be guaranteed, the excitement of tracking animal movements and discovering the park's diverse ecosystem makes the safari memorable in itself.

After the safari, return to your resort for breakfast and some well-deserved relaxation.

The remainder of the morning can be kept free. Depending on your interest and safari availability, you may opt for a second wildlife safari for another opportunity to explore the national park. Alternatively, enjoy a nature walk or spend some leisure time at the resort.

In the afternoon, visit the historic Ranthambore Fort, dramatically positioned above the surrounding landscape. The fort provides not only a glimpse into Rajasthan's medieval history but also impressive views over the forests and countryside.

Return to your resort in the evening and relax after an exciting day combining wildlife and heritage.

Enjoy dinner and spend a second night in Ranthambore.

Overnight stay in Ranthambore.

Distance: Approximately 430–450 km
Travel Time: Approximately 7–8 hours by road
Overnight Stay: Jodhpur

After breakfast, check out from your wildlife resort and begin your long road journey towards Jodhpur, the historic Blue City of Rajasthan.

This is one of the longer road transfers of the itinerary, so the day is deliberately kept free from major sightseeing. The journey takes you through the changing landscapes of Rajasthan, from the forested surroundings of Ranthambore towards the drier terrain of the Marwar region.

Comfort breaks and a lunch stop can be planned along the way to make the journey more convenient, particularly for families and senior travellers.

On reaching Jodhpur, check into your hotel and take the remainder of the evening to relax.

Depending on your arrival time and energy levels, you can take a gentle walk around the local market or enjoy dinner at your hotel. There is no fixed sightseeing planned for the evening, allowing you to recover from the long journey.

Overnight stay in Jodhpur.

Distance: Jodhpur to Udaipur approximately 250–260 km
Travel Time: Approximately 5–6 hours including sightseeing/stops
Overnight Stay: Udaipur

After breakfast, begin your sightseeing tour of Jodhpur, starting with the magnificent Mehrangarh Fort.

Standing high above the Blue City, Mehrangarh is one of Rajasthan's most spectacular forts. Explore its imposing gateways, grand courtyards, royal apartments, galleries and intricately decorated interiors while learning about the history of the Rathore rulers. From the fort's elevated viewpoints, you can enjoy sweeping views over Jodhpur's famous blue-painted houses.

Continue to Jaswant Thada, an elegant white-marble cenotaph built in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. Its peaceful gardens and beautiful architecture make it a pleasant contrast to the grandeur of Mehrangarh.

After sightseeing, begin your drive towards Udaipur, travelling through the scenic landscapes of southern Rajasthan and the Aravalli region.

For travellers interested in architecture and religious heritage, an optional stop at Ranakpur Jain Temple can be included en route, depending on the day's schedule. Famous for its intricate marble carvings and remarkable architecture, Ranakpur is one of Rajasthan's most beautiful temple complexes.

Continue towards Udaipur and check into your hotel upon arrival.

The evening is kept free for relaxation. If you arrive with enough time and energy, you may enjoy a lakeside dinner or take a leisurely walk around the old city.

Overnight stay in Udaipur.

Local Sightseeing: Approximately 10–20 km
Overnight Stay: Udaipur

After breakfast, set out to explore Udaipur, one of Rajasthan's most beautiful and romantic destinations.

Begin with the spectacular City Palace Udaipur, a vast royal complex overlooking Lake Pichola. Built over several generations by the rulers of Mewar, the palace combines impressive courtyards, balconies, galleries, royal chambers and intricately decorated interiors.

Take time to explore the palace museum and admire the architecture, historic artefacts and panoramic views over the city and lake.

Continue to Jagdish Temple, located close to the City Palace. The temple is renowned for its detailed stone carvings and traditional architectural style.

Next, visit Saheliyon Ki Bari, a peaceful historic garden featuring fountains, marble elements, lawns and landscaped areas. The garden offers a relaxed change of pace after the morning's palace sightseeing.

In the afternoon or evening, you can opt for a boat ride on Lake Pichola. The boat ride provides wonderful views of the City Palace, lake palaces, ghats and surrounding hills. Sunset is an especially beautiful time to experience the lake, subject to boat operating schedules and weather conditions.

Spend the evening at leisure. You can explore Udaipur's old markets, enjoy a rooftop dinner overlooking Lake Pichola or simply relax at your hotel.

Overnight stay in Udaipur.
Departure: Udaipur Airport / Railway Station

Enjoy your final breakfast at the hotel and take some time to relax before checking out.

Depending on your departure schedule, you may have some free time for last-minute shopping or a short walk through Udaipur's historic streets. Pick up traditional Rajasthani handicrafts, textiles, miniature paintings or souvenirs to remember your journey.

Later, check out from the hotel and proceed to Udaipur Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey.

Your Rajasthan holiday concludes after an unforgettable journey combining the thrill of Ranthambore wildlife safari, the historic grandeur of Jodhpur, and the lakes, palaces and cultural heritage of Udaipur.

Tour ends with onward departure from Udaipur.
